THE BLOCK - 2017
We were asked by couple of the contestants on The Block to help out with the cabinetry works for their rooms. It was a great experience and a pleasure to work with Josh & Elyse as well as Sticks & Wombat.
We'll keep the images coming as the weeks roll by!
This entertainment unit becomes the focal point of the room without being overwhelming. With push to open doors and drawer fronts there are no bulky handles to distract from the sleek clean lines. The unit also accommodates for all of the accessories such as DVD, Foxtel and sub woofer, behind closed doors and out of sight while still having the convenience of operating them from the couch.
Bamboo is becoming a very popular material for bench tops and floor boards due to it's Eco friendly nature. The client chose to use a coffee bamboo bench top which is 50mm thick and contrasting cupboard doors and drawer fronts in white vinyl wrap. Maximizing the space with the use of drawers in almost all base units, lazy Susan in the corner cupboard, microwave shelf above bench, pull out double bin, the use of drawers with the pantry and book shelf at one end of the island. The use of hardware has allowed for a clutter free kitchen with huge amounts of storage and bench space.
Storage and TV unit
Clients had bay windows which provide hard to make good use of. The aim was to give the clients a nice seating area which stayed within the style of the house. Opting to make use of the new seating we added in large drawers with a simple frame drawer front using the same colour paint to tie in nicely with the existing room. Again making use of a cavity in the living room, using the same principles as the bay windows sleek and simple design to house the TV and added storage.
Kitchen renovation, looking to update the kitchen which was old and tired the clients wanted a finish to compliment their house and add a beautiful feature. Features including corbels, framed glass doors, exposed kickers, cook top surround and cap moulding make this kitchen really stand out.
Materials used include 2 pac paint with Caesar stone bench tops
